Mastering Flash Fiction: Writing with Precision and Power (Online)
Flash fiction is a dynamic and versatile form that thrives on brevity, intensity, and experimentation.
In this two-hour craft course, we’ll explore what makes these ultra-short stories so compelling and how they push the boundaries of traditional storytelling. Together, we’ll read and analyze a curated selection of flash fiction (ranging from 100 to 1,200 words) that showcases some of the most exciting innovations in contemporary fiction. Through close reading and discussion, we’ll examine how these writers harness compression, character, dialogue, and narrative structure to create maximum impact in minimal space.
