Ever hear of "The War of the Sexes"? In this class we will go beyond this well-known saying to explore how different cultures assign power through gender. We will touch upon the differences between gender, sex and sexuality, but we will focus on the connections between gender and cultural power.
This class will include lecture, discussion and a classroom activity.

E.A. Burlingame is a medical anthropologist, artist and educator who has been teaching people of all ages for a decade. Professor Burlingame's education philosophy is that learning is culture. Her teaching practices are steeped in active learning and laughter.
